The Stellenbosch Kruger League team followed up a strong performance on Saturday with an equally emphatic margin of victory on day two of the Boland League Finals.

Being played over two days for the first time, Stellenbosch, favourites on paper, carried their theoretical dominance onto the golf course on day one when they took 6.5 of the first 8 points on offer from their opponents, Kuilsrivier Golf Club. With only 1.5 points to show for the first day, Kuilsrivier where very much backs to the wall as they needed to find a minimum of 6.5 points from the last round to take the matches into a sudden death play-off.

It was never to be however as Stellenbosch built on their lead by adding another 4.5 points to their day one tally to give them the title by 11 - 5.

In a firstof its kind final in the Boland, the host club, Langebaan Country Club, excelled in every aspect as all competitors and Executive were made to feel special. Players and officials alike could not express the gratitude and compliments the club deserved.
