During school holidays Junior Open Tournaments are arranged. The players' scores are captured onto an Order of Merit (OOM) system. This OOM system runs for over a 12 month basis and based on the scores in the Junior Open Tournaments, players' scores are averaged and these are ranked per age group.

Teams per age group are selected regularly to compete against other provinces. If a player is selected to represent Boland, the player receives full Boland Colours for this achievement.
