In the Individual event in the A-Division with all players playing of scratch handicap, out of 48 players, Angelo Keffers and Hezron Frieslaar both ended on 67 points to finish joint 2nd in the individual event for the tournament.
"It was a brilliant team effort and the players gave it their all for each other," said Shawn Adriaanse, Manager Boland of SAGDB.
"Crystal Beukes and Riaan Rooi during the last round was 6 over par with 7 holes to play and both finished 3 over par. Aidon Willemse was a bit unlucky when his ball on the 17th caught a tree and bounced O.B and in the second round on the 18th he unfortunately lost his ball as well. He actually kept the team together with his great golf."
" Aidon played brilliant golf during the morning 18."
" Angelo Keffers surprised everyone during his 2nd 18 holes. The 14 year old Angelo was 2 under par on his last hole. He told me that this would be his first ever under par round for 18 holes. On his last hole his third shot ended up in the water and he finished the hole with a double bogey for a round of level par 72. He was very disappointed not to finish his round under par. "
"Carlos Losper for the 36 holes did not make any double drops. There was no 0 pointers on his card. Carlos was the guy that we could rely on throughout the round that could bring us that consistent scores."
